Riverside Park has reopened
Riverside Park reopened on Saturday 3 October 2026 after a £2.4 million restoration. It now has:
- a new playground
- a wetland boardwalk
- 140 new trees

Parks and open spaces
There are 64 parks in Larkhaven, from small neighbourhood green spaces to large parks with play areas and sports pitches.
Report a problem in a park, such as broken play equipment, litter or graffiti. If a fallen tree is causing danger outside office hours, call 01632 960 999.
Dogs in parks
- Dogs are not allowed in fenced play areas.
- Keep your dog on a lead on the wetland boardwalk in Riverside Park.
- Always pick up after your dog. You can use any litter bin.
Volunteer in a park
Join a volunteer day to plant trees, clear litter or help look after a community garden. Email parks@larkhaven.example to find a group near you.
Swimming and leisure
Northbank Pool is a 25 m pool, open every day from 06:30 to 21:00. Saltmarsh Leisure Centre has a pool, a gym and a sports hall.

To book a sports pitch, or to hold an event in a park, email parks@larkhaven.example. For events with more than 500 people, apply at least 12 weeks before the date.
