Full Council

All 48 councillors and the mayor meet as Full Council. It sets the budget and council tax, agrees the council’s main policies and decides who sits on each committee. Full Council usually meets on a Thursday at 18:00.

Transport and Environment Committee

Makes decisions about roads, trams, cycling, parking, waste and recycling, and the city’s response to climate change. It last met on Thursday 8 October 2026.

Planning Committee

Decides large or controversial planning applications. It last met on Wednesday 14 October 2026. On Wednesday 9 December 2026 it is expected to decide the application for the Old Customs House on Quay Road (26/04117/FUL).

If you have commented on an application, you can ask to speak at the committee. Register by 12:00, 2 working days before the meeting, by emailing democracy@larkhaven.example. Each speaker has up to 3 minutes.

Communities Committee

Makes decisions about housing, libraries, parks and leisure, culture, community safety and public health. We will add the date of its next meeting to the meetings page.
