Which licence you need
| Licence | You need one if you want to |

| Premises licence | sell alcohol, serve hot food or drink between 23:00 and 05:00, or put on entertainment such as live music, plays or films |

| Street trading licence | sell goods or food from a stall, van or barrow in the street (markets and street trading) |

How to apply
Email licensing@larkhaven.example for an application form, or call 01632 960 000. Tell us which licence you need and the address of your business or event.
Give us a temporary event notice at least 10 working days before your event.
We publish applications for premises licences for 28 days. During that time, people who live or work nearby can comment.
Comment on a licence application
If an application could affect you, for example because of noise, crime or public safety, email licensing@larkhaven.example within the 28-day comment period. Include the name and address of the premises.
Markets and street trading
Quay Market runs every Saturday from 08:00 to 15:00. The Winter Market is in Quay Square from Friday 4 to Sunday 20 December 2026, with pitches from £28 a day.
Food businesses
If you are starting a food business, including from home, you must register with us at least 28 days before you start trading. Email licensing@larkhaven.example.
