Street lighting
Our street lighting upgrade has halved the energy our street lights use. Read about the street lighting upgrade.
Gritting in winter
When ice or snow is forecast, we grit main roads and bus routes first, then the roads to schools and hospitals. We cannot grit every street. Grit bins on steep hills are there for anyone to use on the road and pavement nearby.
Have your say
We want your views on proposals to make Quay Road safer. Quay Road: safer streets proposals is open until 20 November 2026.
