Northbank Pool
Northbank Pool has a 25 m main pool. It is open every day from 06:30 to 21:00, with lane swimming every morning from 06:30 to 09:00.
Saltmarsh Leisure Centre
Saltmarsh Leisure Centre has a swimming pool, a gym and a sports hall.

Children in the pool
- Children under 8 must be in the water with someone aged 16 or over.
- One adult can look after up to 2 children under 5.
Swimming lessons
We run 10-week courses of lessons for adults and for children aged 4 and over, at both pools. Email leisure@larkhaven.example to join a course.
Access for disabled swimmers
Both pools have step-free access, accessible changing rooms and a pool hoist. A carer can swim free with a disabled swimmer.
Getting there
- For Northbank Pool, take tram Line 1 (Red), which runs from Quayside to Northbank.
- For Saltmarsh Leisure Centre, tram Line 3 (Green) opens on Saturday 21 November 2026 and runs from Saltmarsh to Eastcliff.
Common questions
Are there lockers?
Yes. The lockers take a £1 coin, which you get back when you open the locker.
Can I wear a swim shirt or leggings?
Yes, as long as they are made for swimming. You must not wear outdoor shoes on the poolside.
