Each item after the first 3 costs £8. A bed frame and its mattress count as 2 items.
What we collect
- sofas, armchairs and footstools
- beds, mattresses and bed frames
- wardrobes, chests of drawers, tables and chairs
- fridges, freezers, washing machines and cookers
- televisions and other large electrical items
- bikes, garden furniture and lawnmowers, with the fuel removed
- carpets and rugs, rolled up
What we cannot collect
- building waste, such as rubble, plasterboard, kitchen units and bathroom suites
- garden waste and soil
- car parts and tyres
- gas bottles, paint and chemicals
- anything too heavy or too large for 2 people to carry safely
- waste from a business
You can take most of these to a recycling centre.
How to book
- Make a list of the items you want us to collect.
- Email waste@larkhaven.example or call 01632 960 000, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30. Tell us your address, a phone number and your list of items.
- Pay by debit or credit card when you book.
- We will confirm your collection date. We collect bulky waste Monday to Friday.
On your collection day
- Put your items outside your property by 07:00, where we can reach them easily.
- Do not block the pavement.
- You do not need to be at home.
Change or cancel a booking
Tell us at least 2 working days before your collection date and we will change the date or give you a full refund.
Leaving large items in the street is fly-tipping. It is illegal and you could be fined. Report fly-tipping.
